BackTow addresses a tethered-overboard problem: a conventional front attachment can tow a wearer face-first while the boat is moving.
BackTow is manually activated
- The lifejacket inflates through its separate water- or pressure-activated inflation system.
- A conscious wearer pulls the large BackTow handle.
- The towing point moves so the wearer can rotate toward a face-up, seated position.
BackTow is not automatic and cannot be activated by an unconscious wearer. It works with the integrated deck harness while the wearer is clipped to a compatible tether.
Which TeamO models include it?
The active Coastal 170N, Offshore 170N, and Ocean 275N ranges include BackTow. The Micro 170N does not include BackTow or an integrated deck harness.
Product-label and fitting checks
Confirm the exact model label, inflation system, manual, harness fit, and tether compatibility before use. Match replacement kits to the lifejacket label rather than the cover color.
