How BackTow works
1. Tethered overboard
A conventional front attachment can tow an overboard wearer face-first while the boat is moving.
2. Lifejacket inflates
The water- or pressure-activated inflation system operates independently of BackTow.
3. Pull BackTow handle
A conscious wearer pulls the handle to move the towing point and rotate toward a face-up, seated position.
Four active ranges
Micro 170N
Low-profile model with water-activated Mk5i inflation. It does not include BackTow or an integrated deck harness.
Coastal 170N
Water-activated Mk5i inflation with BackTow, integrated deck harness, whistle, and double crotch strap.
Offshore 170N
BackTow and harness with sprayhood, water-activated light, and whistle. Choose between water-activated ProSensor or pressure-activated Hammar after checking the model details.
Ocean 275N
Higher buoyancy with ProSensor inflation, BackTow, harness, sprayhood, water-activated light, and whistle. TeamO positions it for extreme offshore conditions or heavier clothing and equipment.
