Anchoring Hardware helps complete a dependable ground-tackle system.

Use this collection as the parent hub for ground-tackle hardware: Mantus M2 anchors, swivels, chain hooks, bridles, snubbers, brackets, deck keys, and small replacement parts that finish the system. If you already know the anchor size you need, start with the dedicated Mantus Anchors page. If you are building or correcting the rest of the setup, stay here and match the hardware to your chain, bow roller, and boat type.

The most common buying path is anchor first, then chain connection, then load control. A swivel helps the anchor come aboard correctly and reduces chain twist. A chain hook or bridle takes load off the windlass and adds shock absorption. Mounting brackets and deck tools solve storage and handling problems on deck. Catamarans should pay special attention to bridle geometry; monohulls should check bow-roller clearance before choosing a swivel or bracket.

Anchoring hardware FAQ

Do I need a snubber with all-chain rode?

Yes. Mantus notes that an adequately designed snubber or bridle reduces shock loads substantially, protecting the windlass, cleats, chain, and deck hardware, and it quiets the bow at anchor.

How is anchor chain sized?

By boat length, displacement, chain grade, and windlass gypsy fit, not by anchor weight. Windlass gypsies are built for particular chain sizes and link geometry, so confirm the match before ordering chain, hooks, or swivels.

What does a chain hook do?

It connects your snubber or bridle to the chain quickly. Locking, spring-latched designs like the Mantus M3 stay engaged even when the chain goes slack during anchoring maneuvers.
