The Bahamas Quick Reference cruising guide is your shortcut to easier cruising in the islands. Cruising the Bahamas is a dream - until you're juggling charts, cruising forums, and five open tabs just to plan the next day. First time in the Bahamas or fifth loop through the Exumas, this cruising guide saves you hours of planning and helps you avoid costly mistakes.

No more guessing where to anchor for the night, who has fuel, or how to navigate coral-strewn cuts. With the Bahamas Quick Reference, you get quick-access information on the essentials: anchorages, marinas, fuel, propane, customs, storm protection, and more - organized by location and written for real-world cruising.

From the Abacos to the southern islands, the Bahamas Quick Reference guide puts exactly what you need at your fingertips when you need it. Available in both waterproof print and instant PDF, it was updated October 2023.

If you're cruising the Bahamas without the Bahamas Quick Reference, you’re working harder than you need to - and risking missing the best anchorages, safest passages, or the only fuel dock for miles.

Why It’s Different • Answers at a Glance

Unlike traditional cruising guides, the Bahamas Quick Reference is organized first by what you need - anchorages, services, storm holes - then by location, making it faster to find what you’re looking for. No lengthy descriptions and no charts - just clear tables to pinpoint the information you need without delay.

How to Use • Quick Steps for Finding What You Need

Designed to answer your questions quickly, this guide makes navigating the Bahamas easy:

Go to the Right Section: Tabs help you find what you need - anchorages, marinas, services, storm holes, or navigation alerts.

Find Your Column: Look for details like wind protection, available services, or depth restrictions.

Locate the X: Organized island-by-island from north to south, each X shows where you can find what you're looking for. Just find the one closest to you.

Anchorage Names: All anchorage names are Active Captain names, which can be overlaid on any navigation app like Garmin, Navionics, or Aqua Map.

For PDF Users

Clickable tabs let you jump straight to the right section.

Searchable bookmarks make it easy to navigate the table of contents.

Clickable links for phone numbers and websites simplify planning.

Download to multiple devices used on the same boat for flexibility.

Your Choice: Print, PDF, or a Discount for Both

Select the format that works best for your cruising style:

Made in USA • Built to Last • Environmentally Friendly

Designed in the USA and printed on American-made recyclable synthetic paper using environmentally friendly soy-based inks at a facility powered entirely by wind energy. Minimal packaging. Tough enough to handle life on a boat, it won’t tear, degrade, or smear - even in humid conditions or with sunscreen on your hands.

Shipping & lead times

We're a small team of boaters and we pack orders within 1–5 business days (no weekend or holiday packing). You'll get an email with tracking as soon as a label goes on your box.

Specialty items — fire extinguishers (dangerous goods) and low-stock or built-to-order gear — can take longer; the product description will say so. On a tight timeline or meeting your boat somewhere specific? Contact us and we’ll work out the fastest way to get gear to you.

International orders ship DDU: local duties, taxes, and customs fees are the buyer’s responsibility. Full details in our shipping policy.

Returns & refunds

30-day returns from the date of purchase. Items must be unused, in the original packaging with all cables and accessories, with proof of purchase.

Contact us before shipping anything back — we’ll send the return form that must accompany your return. Fire extinguisher and lithium battery items carry a $15 administrative fee on returns.

Read the full refund policy.

Ask a cruiser before you buy

Everyone here is a current or past cruiser — we’ve docked short-handed, re-rigged at anchor, and chased 12V gremlins too. Not sure this is the right fit for your boat? Send us your question before you order and we’ll give you a straight answer.
