What is it?
This flashlight behaves like a long-range spotlight, with a FL1-rated beam distance of 690 meters. This means it can fully illuminate a target at 690 meters, not just be seen from that distance. It is visible from 20 miles away, depending on the height of the viewer.
Is it a general-purpose flashlight?
No, it's designed for specific tasks such as spotting crab pots, channel markers, buoys, and crew overboard (MOB) at night, with a tighter beam and less spillover light than traditional flashlights. This design prevents light reflection on the boat, preserving your night vision. The flashlight can run for up to 12 hours on a set of D-Cell batteries.
How does it work?
It uses Recycled Light Technology (RLT), a patented invention by Dr. Ken Li that reflects wide-angle light back to the LED, re-exciting the phosphor and recycling the light. This reduces light waste and increases efficiency, allowing for a more focused and efficient beam.
What makes it different from other spotlights?
Unlike traditional spotlights, which lose a lot of light due to Etendue (a physics law), this flashlight recycles light, focusing it into a tight beam. This creates a high Candela output, resulting in a longer-range spotlight with less heat and energy waste. You'd need about 3,000 lumens in a typical spotlight to achieve the same range as this one.

30-day returns from the date of purchase. Items must be unused, in the original packaging with all cables and accessories, with proof of purchase.
Contact us before shipping anything back — we’ll send the return form that must accompany your return. Fire extinguisher and lithium battery items carry a $15 administrative fee on returns.
